5. Agencies

Dirk: An agents a pimp. End of. What’s the difference? An agent sells your time, for 50 quid for half an hour the girl gets 35, pays the agent 15, a pimp takes the 50 quid and pays her 35, so where’s the difference there really? An agent might argue that the girl has more control in the situation, but I don’t think that any of the girls would. They might, I’ve never really asked but no, that’s an agent argument not a, not one that works I’m afraid, not in my eyes anyway. Personally I always book independently; cause, then the girl gets the money.

I’m sure that age verification could be a problem, definitely. Er.. short of demanding birth certificates, driving licences, passports, what can you do? I kind of would hope that agencies would do something along those lines, I suspect they wouldn’t. I don’t know. : How do you define a reputable agency, the whole industry is disreputable! (chuckles) Certainly if I turned up and I thought this girls 16 or something I would leave. Err.. but then again I wouldn’t know whether she was 16 or not.

The girls are still by themelves working through an agency. You are by yourself. Er.. I go visit a girl at her flat, and I’ve got a machete in my back pocket, whats the agent gonna do? There’s no vetting done by an agency, there isn’t. Urm, thy may ban a particular client with a particular phone number, but a sim cards 5 quid in your local super market. They only know they’re bad because some girl says to the agent oh that guy beat me up or whatever.. it’s too late then. So there’s no way – there’s no background checks, there’s no vetting. Um.. you can’t even call it an advertising fee because it’s a percentage. Maybe I’ve got a jaundiced view but I think that the agents are just greedy, money hungry, don’t care about clients or girls. Girls wise, there may be a small amount of vetting, ‘you’re fat and ugly you’re not coming on my agency’, other than that I don’t think they care who the girls are.

E: I don’t think it’s fair to call agents pimps.

E: (laughs) AGENTS.

I: Technically they’re still doing the same thing..

E: Yeah..

I: I always- whenever I hear pimp I always think forced, I always think street and I always think forced. But obviously.. I guess it’s not like that cause a girl could genuinely find a guy who she wants to find her customers, who would be her pimp, who she would give a cut…and that wouldn’t be forced- but I don’t know why you would.

E: It’s just.. I suppose it depends on their motives for doing it. Like I think Lacy, our agent does it because she knows the industry-

I: She used to do it-

E: She used to do it, she knows the interests of the girls and she cares about that.

I: Yeah.. it’s the same reason we’d do it if we ever set up an agency.. you do it because you don’t wanna be doing it yourself anymore.. but you know the industry you know you can make money from it…. And you care about the girls.

E: But.. whereas at like rubies our old agency, with Gareth he.. he just pretty much bought an agency, and was

E&I: Trying to run it.

E: They didn’t tell us anything.. I remember for my interview with rubies..

I: Oh yeah…

E: It was normal and then.. Gareth said we needed to take photos for the website, he took loads of- …..compromising photographs..and then asked me to give him a blowjob.

I: Which you didn’t do.

E: Which I didn’t do.

I: Thankfully! Imagine if you’d done that..

E: Oh don’t.. and yeah the fact that they have sex with the girls..

I: Yeah was about to say, he sleeps with all the girls. Like.. Norbert on the phones sleeps with all the girls as well.

E: They act so inappropriately towards the girls, its sexual harassment.

I: Just cause you work in the sex industry doesn’t mean you can treat girls like that. Cause obviously we’ve got no one to go to f they do, you can’t be like.. oh our boss is treating us unfairly, which you could do in any other job. Cause..it’s not a legitimate..

I: So there’s no one you can go to.

E: And at the end of the day the agents working for the best interests of the girls-

I: Should be.

E: Whereas the pimps working for the best interests of getting as much money in his pocket…yeah.

I: Well.. in theory.

E: In theory.

I: Whereas when you look at some agencies you think oh, they are just doing it to get an as much money as they can, they don’t really care about the girls..

E: Yeah like when you ask not to be booked with a guy again, they just don’t write it down, and they just try and convince you to see the guy that you don’t wanna see..

I: Like at the end of the day if you’ve got someone who’s banned, they’re banned for a reason.

E: Yeah exactly..

I: So that should be respected.
