10: Unattractive parts of industry

D: There’s allot of girls do it for drug money, there’s a lot of girls do it because they’re coerced or forced.. into doing it. Um, theres a lot of disease, especially in the cheaper end of the market which tends to be the drug addicts, going out, pulling a trick for a £10 baggy of heroine or whatever. Erm, there are a lot of pimps in the business, who make a lot of money off the girls. Agencies, they do the same, they make a lot of money off the girls.. they say they don’t but I know they do (chuckles)

E: The online punter forums are.. Possibly.. well no definitely the worst thing about the job.

I: Cause, you just don’t realise the impact, like… people gossiping about you online, about personal things..

E: People – I think a lot of people find it hard to believe that you’re doing it because you want to be doing it and so when its people that care about you and when you know they’re not going to be able to accept that you’re doing it because you genuinely want to be doing it, it’s easier to not tell them.. and yeah some people are judgemental, like you’ll tell some people and they’ll see you differently because of it even though they might have known you for years even though.. all this.. yeah it will change some people’s opinion of you, even though you are the same person, it’s just a job..

I: And I think like especially with your parents and your friends who are close they’ll worry about the danger, cause they only hear the shock stories about it- cause even we were worried about the dangers when we first started.

E: That was my primary concern when I first started doing it- Was the safety.
